Conference “A 21st century concept of peace – as defined by a lifetime warrior”

February 6th 2013 – Next Generation Foreign Policy Network, the ANAJ-IHEDN team based in Washington DC is pleased to welcome you to our inaugural conference on :

A 21st century concept of peace – as defined by a lifetime warrior

A discussion with
J. Robert DUBOIS
Former U.S. Navy SEAL
Author of “Powerful Peace – A Navy SEAL’s Lessons on Peace from a Lifetime at War”

Wednesday, February 6th
From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Embassy of France in Washington, DC
“La Maison française”

4101 Reservoir Road Northwest Washington, DC 20007

After a lifetime at war as an elite soldier and years of advising military commanders as wells as policy makers, Robert DuBois believes that there remains an unrealized potential for peacemaking.

In Powerful Peace, Robert DuBois makes a strong case for a new approach to conflict-solving, based on his own first-hand experience of how individuals can change situations they are faced with.
So if the pursuit of sustainable security starts with a deeper understanding of the world and its human components, what better way to do it than by listening to fascinating real-world anecdotes told by a seasoned warrior who embraced philosophy? You might be surprised at the lessons he’s learned and the insights he has to offer.

This conference will be held under Chatham House rules
The event will be followed by a reception, during which Mr. DuBois will also do a book-signing (books available for purchase at the event).

About J. Robert DuBois
We are thrilled to have Mr. DuBois as our inaugural speaker to launch our initiative. Robert DuBois served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years in the U.S. Navy, and retired as a U.S. Navy SEAL. He has since then worked as an advisor to numerous companies, and recently published Powerful Peace: A Navy SEAL’s Lessons on Peace from a Lifetime at War.
